She’s back! Fans right here at Latin Alt HD3 have been patiently waiting for new music since her last single “American Psycho” back in 2022, and for us, “Venus” brings something different to the table.
Emerging onto the scene back in 2020, Gabriela Triste was a new voice, following upbeat bedroom R&B music trends. Her debut track “Frutsi!” was an exciting bedroom experiment that caught some attention with its melodic bounce and carefree lyrics.
“Frutsi” gave newfound fans a taste of Triste’s range in musicality. Her 2021 EP saw the typical blend of bedroom hi-hats and saturated synth chords. A trio of singles that worked side by side, but the tracks that followed were more melancholic in tone and heavier in the drums.
But after a year of rest, Triste is back with something that’s 180’d her previous tracks. She’s brewing something new. Something unexpected yet intriguing in the sound she presents on “Venus”.
Ditching the 808’s for an electric guitar, the backing track for “Venus” is a lot more indie fronted and while Triste’s vocal range leaned more towards a pop/ R&B style, her performance perfectly matches the tempo of the track.
