Andru Session with Byron Gonzalez
Discussing the new album las cosas que quiero recordar
Recorded in The SoCal Sound Studios for Bilingual Sounds, interview + 4 song performance!
Andru has a full length LP, released earlier this year titled las cosas que quiero recordar and she joins Bilingual Sounds’ Byron Gonzalez for an interview.
ANDRU is the solo project from Andrea MartInez, who has been to The SoCal Sound and Bilingual Sounds playing in many different bands including Via Futuro and Girl Ultra. Today Andrea is joined by Irving on guitar.
Andru performs wearing her signature hat, this day she was wearing a hat that she had received after trading Sam Evian when they were recording this album at Flying Cloud.
This album is inspired by many different things, the song “309” is about fleeting love, “Like I said, it's a love song. And, last year I, date with someone that, makes me feel a lot of things, like, very fast. In a month, we just dated for a month, and it was over. But she make me feel like a lot… It was good at firs, and I was sa because… yeah…. This is more than a love song, like, not a deep love, Just like one night and you can feel everything, and it doesnt have to be deep… Just i got more, young love, you know?”
Andru performed 4 songs; “Acapulco”, “Voy en Auto”, “Tomonoura” & “309”
Bilingual Sounds Sessions are presented by The SoCal Sound, and are filmed, edited, & photographed by Matt Blake, recorded and mixed by Tristan Dolce, executive produced by Byron Gonzalez
